“Your Hands Can Heal You” Pranic Healing Intensive with Master Stephen Co
He will offer the free evening lecture on Friday April 23 at the Wyndham San Diego North, 5975 Lusk Blvd. at 7:30 p.m. Then on Saturday and Sunday Master Co will present a Two-day Intensive Training from 9:30 am to 5:30 p.m. at the Wyndham. Pranic Healing is a highly developed and tested system of energy medicine that utilizes prana to balance, harmonize and transform the body's energy process.
This is a simple yet powerful and effective system of no-touch energy healing originated and developed by GrandMaster Choa Kok Sui, the creator of Pranic Healing and taught throughout the western world by his senior disciple, Master Stephen Co. Pranic Healing is a comprehensive and specific form of energy medicine. It is simple to learn and easy to apply. Additionally, Pranic Healing includes teachings rarely found in other energy medicine systems, such as the detailed use of colored prana and the practice of energetic hygiene. This Pranic Healing course is experiential, which means you learn by actually performing the techniques and exercises in class—on yourself and those around you. During class, all the principles will be explained thoroughly and you will practice the techniques repeatedly so you have the basic skills to feel, control and direct the pervasive pranic energy in nature. You will learn step-by-step methods of accelerating the healing rate of the physical, emotional and mental bodies.
Pranic Healing practitioners are not licensed physicians or surgeons and Pranic Healing treatments are not licensed by the state but are complementary to healing arts services licensed by the state. Pranic Healing practitioners do not physically touch the recipient's body, diagnose diseases, prescribe any drugs/substances or make any health claims or guarantee any outcomes. For more information see www.yourhandscanhealyou.com or call (503) 299-4450. “Oriental Masters have developed and refined the science and art of energy healing over thousands of years.
Today, Pranic Healing empowers you with the crowning achievement of this evolution.” — Master Stephen Co
Master Stephen Co will be in San Diego from April 23-25 offering both a free evening lecture on Pranic Healing and a two-day Intensive training.

Chinese Medicine Lends a Hand During Stress and Anxiety Month
Whether we know it or not, stress and anxiety can affect us every day, potentially causing serious health problems. However, studies show that Chinese medicine, which includes acupuncture, massage, Tai Chi and Qi Gong, can significantly help reduce stress. According to the National Institute of Mental Health, approximately 19.1 million American adults ages 18 to 54 have an anxiety disorder in a given year, and the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) states that as much as 80 percent of disease is stress-related.
According to the 2002 Tension Tracker survey, between 60 and 90 percent of visits to primary care physicians are for stress-related problems. The Chinese medical view of stress is that excessive emotional stimulation or suppression sets up an imbalance of the basic life force energy, or Qi, thereby injuring the body and producing disease.
Chinese acupuncture and massage, as well as Tai Chi and Qi Gong exercises, can alleviate stress symptoms by releasing endorphins, the body's own natural painkillers, and improving the circulation of blood and lymphatic fluids, which brings fresh oxygen to body tissues. This increased oxygen flow eliminates waste products from inside the body and enhances recovery from diseases. Chinese medicine also decreases the stress hormone cortisol, lowers blood pressure, reduces heart rate, and relaxes muscle tissue. For more information about how Chinese medicine can help those suffering from stress and anxiety, please call Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (800) 729-0941.
