The sun entered Aries on March 20 at the Spring Equinox, initiating the beginning of the astrological New Year. The first of the twelve signs of the zodiac, Aries represents new beginnings, and, as the sun moves through Aries from March 20 until April 20, we experience a burst of desire for creativity, for new opportunities, and to begin projects that we have only been contemplating in the past. On April 2, we have a full moon in Libra, opposite the sun in Aries. Each month, the full moon brings the potential indicated by the previous new moon into full expression. Because it follows a solar eclipse on March 18, we can expect the April 2 full moon to be particularly potent. A solar eclipse brings changes at a deep, fundamental level of our being, and the full moon that follows provides the matrix to have full realization, and to ground the changes into our lives. Some of us will experience more significant changes than others because eclipses are most powerful in our personal lives when they interact closely with planets in our natal astrology chart.

The solar eclipse in Pisces last month initiated a soul-searching journey into the depth and heart of our being to discover who we are at the highest, spiritual level. The April 2 full moon in Libra, opposite the sun in Aries, reveals how we can ground our understanding into the practical aspects of our lives, particularly into our relationships. Anchoring a very positive grand triangle in the fire element between the sun, Jupiter and Saturn, the full moon indicates that we can move forward with our realization, grounding our higher vision with our practical abilities.

The sun enters the solid, practical, earth sign of Taurus on April 20, giving us fertile ground to begin to implement the intentions formed over the past three weeks. The planet of communication, Mercury helps as it forms a grand triangle with Saturn and Jupiter, giving us the inspiration to move forward, and the sun in Taurus forms a favorable aspects that lead us to the necessary practical steps, knowledge and tools.
