Love Is Your Essence
I was delighted to hear the tradition of chanting, integral to every faith, so gracefully represented on Love Is Your Essence. Filled with poems of divine love set to music, this is a fine vehicle to transport you to other realms.
The CD opens with a Sanskrit invocation that flows into an English version of the Sri Guru Gita, and from there we are treated to an exquisite succession of ancient Vedic prayers, Hindi bhajans and contemporary devotional compositions in English.
Sita Stuhlmiller's angelic voice, backed by vocal accompaniment and exquisite instrumentation by ashram residents and devotees, lifts us out of the ordinary in a sublime expression of love.
These solo and group expressions of the heart's longing for the Divine were recorded live in satsangs with Prabhushri Swami Amar Jyoti at Sacred Mountain Ashram in Boulder , Colorado . The CD is part of an ongoing collection of chants to the Divine.
Sita Stuhlmiller has been sharing her sacred chants with seekers of the Divine for nearly three decades. Fascinated with music and song since childhood, she studied classical music in college and plunged into American folk music in the '60s. Years later, inspired by her Master, she began chanting kirtan bhajans from India and composing devotional songs in English reminiscent of sangeet lyrical songs of India . — Chiwah

Created by Evenson, the prolific musician and composer who has made a reputation for himself as an Ambient/New Age musical visionary, and the gifted harpist d'Rachael, who inherited the talent and traditions of numerous generations of her musical family, Spa Dreams offers a musical treat you may find as refreshing as relaxing at your favorite healing spa. From the very first note, the soft sounds nourish body and soul, stimulating the waters of the imagination to begin to flow from that place within where healing and illumination are sourced.
The harp sounds on this CD showcase D'Rachael's magic. Evenson's wife Dudley contributes the sounds of handharp and gamelon, and Phil Heaven plays his beautiful viola as Evenson's flute and keyboard carry you away, away, to whatever magical land you need to visit. D'Rachael has been playing with Evenson since he co-created the Billboard charting independent label Soundings of the Planet, whose mission it is to carry the message of Earth, seeking out natural sounds from wild places and bringing them home to remind and reconnect us with who we truly are.
Spa Dreams offers healing to the body at the molecular level, and I find it a gift to the challenged soul and spirit. The perfect backdrop for a healing treatment, and wonderful for those times when you want to let go and fl oat away, perchance to sleep, to dream….
