122nd Birthday Celebration at First Spiritualist Church, SD August 12
The First Spiritualist Church of San Diego is celebrating its 122 nd birthday by offering Free Healings. Historically speaking, the current Church building on 42 nd street was a nylon parachute factory during World War II and later became a Christian Science Reading Room. The First Spiritualist Church acquired the building in the 1950s.
From the very beginning, members helped to support the growth of the San Diego Community through benefits and fundraisers. The church continues to serve the community by providing classes and workshops on Spiritual Law, Healing, Psychic Development, Astrology, Channeling and a variety of other metaphysical topics.
Since 2003, the Church has celebrated its birthday by giving free healings and fellowship to everyone. On August 12, practitioners of different healing modalities such as Reiki, Massage, Jin Shin Jyutsu, Theta, Pranic, Auric and Yuen will spend the day giving free healings to all who come through the temple doors. Spiritual Readers will be available to give messages from spirit. The Meditation Room will be open to all. Take home a souvenir, a picture of you and the “Parachute Angel.”
