Beyond the Horizon
The Divine Destiny of the Sacred Human Revealed
By: Kaih KhristiÈ King; Art by: Blanche Radiance; The King's Bridge; 2008; 253 pages; $22.00 (pbk); ISBN 978-0-9792099-1-8; www.walsers.com ; www.thekingsbridge.com
“Simply put, the horizon is as far as we can see.” So says Kaih King in the beginning of this book. That's pretty simple. Puts things in perspective: Beyond the Horizon is a book about seeing further than we now see.

Beyond the Horizon is a book about honoring our own perceptions, our own inner teacher, our own religion, our own choices—and those of others—and opening to experience a fullness beyond expectation as a new age continues to dawn on Mother Earth.
Kaih King writes from her own experience and invites others in to speak from theirs. In the early pages we come upon a sharing from the late Hopi elder White Bear about hue-man's circular transition from the realms of light to our current state over the last 26,000 years; our long, drug-out stay at the bottom of the arc (“because time is sluggish at the bottom”); and our current opportunity to move up (ascend) as we continue our path along the circle of consciousness.
White Bear and his Caucasian wife, Grandmother Naomi, tell their stories of the cosmic history of mankind and the development of a soul into an earthly being. Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Jr., and others offer wisdom in the form of poetry. We read the story of Saul turned to Paul, of forgiveness in action, and stories not often told from the life of Jesus. Teachings of the Bible are brought to life, not as in Christianity but as a universal message, less as a teaching than as an invitation to consider the possibilities, to look at the Truth that lives in the heart of each of us. The Dalai Lama and Mayan elder Humbatz Men impart messages as well.
“The current era in which we live reveals that we are in an ending that is intricately woven into the beginning of something better than ever experienced in past times,” King says on page 189, going on to explain that want scientists call “junk” in our DNA is actually “a collection of switches that were turned off when Hue Man Kind fell through the Cosmos and entered the third dimension. It is time for these switches to be reactivated, she tells us, for us to evolve into a more radiant (light-filled) and beautiful species.
Beyond the Horizon is a beautiful read, instructive and inspirational, an invitation to expand beyond the known now and embrace the “Golden Age of balanced radiations” that promises to “bring us face to face with our Maker.”
That we are coming to a “Y” (“why”) in the road, a huge choice point, is not news to me, and probably not to you, either. “We are the future,” King says. “We will be who we think we are and we will experience God according to our thinking.”
I recommend this book as a treasure trove of thoughts, ideas and feelings to help evolve your thinking. You don't have to agree with everything she says to enjoy its beauty and take home whatever wisdom fits for you.

Yoga Inspired by the Spirit of Sedona
With: Iala Jaggs; Sedona Vortex Yoga Productions; 2008; $20.00; www.sedonaredrocktours.com ; retailers or drop shippers contact: sedonaredrocktours@gmail.com
Yoga asanas, we are told by the opening visual message, are meant to bring the prana (breath) into the body. Yes!! Let's breathe, and the world will be a better place.
I know Iala as a dream-driven dynamo who has been practicing and teaching yoga for many years. A yoga instructor at Sedona's ‘The Rouge' Resort, she loves Sedona and she loves yoga. And so she brings us the best of both: yoga instruction at seven of Sedona's sacred sites.

The Seven Sacred Pools (which you will encounter if you hike the trail at Soldiers' Pass) never dry up, even in the heat of summer. The video begins here, setting up sacred space, followed by a salute to the sun and other Shivasana stretches and a bit of relaxation. Next, she takes us to Bell Rock (second chakra), were we call in the Directions and the angels, archangels, spirit animals and elementals— Yod-Hey-Vod-Hey —all to the beat of the drum. More stretches, Eagle pose, namaste . Thank you, Tunkashila . More stretches, more breaths, more relaxation, and we send our prayers up through the great transmitter that is Bell Rock.
Next stop is Airport Vortex, where Iala leads us through the breath of fire. On to Raven's Roost (solar plexus), where we leave Shivasana poses behind in favor of roadrunner pose, and thunderbird… we are flying! And finding joy in the water. Then to sweet Sugar Loaf (heart chakra), stretching the chest, opening the sacred heart. Now, on to Red Rock Crossing, on the red rocks at Oak Creek under the magnificent Cathedral Rock, nurturing creativity and inspiration as we worship the divine feminine in our lives. Finally we go up on Doe Mountain, with its vast vista looking out over red rock country.
Deeply refreshing and regenerating. All poses and stretches are gracefully demonstrated by Iala, a goddess whose beauty is the perfect match for the yoga and red rocks and junipers. Her rich, breathy voice expresses all the emotion we need to motivate us to get up and stretch and reach for the miracle of living a blissful, fully oxygenated life.
Sedona Vortex Yogais one of the most beautiful and inspiring yoga videos I have seen. Namaste .
