The total solar eclipse on July 21 sounded a clarion call for a new way of being in our families and communities, asking us to release what no longer serves us and to deeply nurture and preserve the values that have true meaning for us. To ensure the quality of life on Planet Earth, a growing global awareness is emerging that recognizes new systems of organizing and sustaining our lives will need to be put into place. Leo's creativity may be put to good use in finding unique opportunities to bring substantial changes.
A third eclipse in August catalyzes vital changes
As the sun moves through the early stages of Leo, the last week of July and first few days of August are highlighted by good communications, great social events and an easier flow in our work or business. Another lunar eclipse, occurring in Aquarius at the full moon on August 5, brings yet more challenges, providing the catalyst for manifesting vital changes into the fabric of our daily lives. Innovative and creative yet practical ideas abound for how to implement the needed changes. Although we become aware that much hard work will be required, there is a general willingness to roll up our sleeves and participate in shaping our future. Inspiration is readily available, new ideas find a receptive audience, and a feel for the possibility of a favorable outcome to the worlds' current dilemma is very strong.
New Moon reveals shifting cultural attitudes
Cultural attitudes will shift following these three summer eclipses, generally toward taking greater personal responsibility for the reality we co-create. On August 20, we have a new moon in Leo that plants the seed for a new, 28-day cycle of activity. If you are tuned into traditional media and watching the news, you will be inundated with the pervasive “emergency mentality” being promoted by the huge corporations that own the media. Yes, there are fires and floods; yes, there is crime; and yes there is rampant greed that ignores great lack in parts of our world. And yet, what is not being reported is the groundswell of people worldwide who are awakening to their innermost truth and following the vision and wisdom of their Spirit. There is a movement of consciousness, led by Spirit, to catalyze a global transformation that must begin with me and you.
Sun in Virgo helps us to ground new inspiration
Planetary aspects in the latter part of August, and especially at the new moon, will show us how to shift our reality by staying out of fear, following our higher guidance, and ensuring that each activity and expression we choose to activate is coming from Love-Wisdom. The sun completes its sojourn through Leo, entering the practical, earth sign of Virgo on August 22, and the discriminating and methodical qualities of Virgo assist us to ground our new choices and new ways of being. Planetary aspects on the 25 and 26 bring existing issues to the surface for healing and release, but this does not necessarily imply great drama, if we simply work with lovingly expressing our innermost truth.
