Dealing with Anxiety
By Carolle Jean-Murat, M.D., F.A.C.O.G.
Most of us experience a certain amount of anxiety because it is a normal part of living. For millions of Americans, however, anxieties are persistent and overwhelming, can interfere with daily life, and can affect your good health.
Do you experience any of the following: Fatigue, fluctuations in mood, sleeping difficulties, decreased concentration, sexual problems, indigestion, overeating, dry mouth, dizziness, a rapid or irregular heart rate, increased rate of respiration, diarrhea, frequent need to urinate, trembling, lump in throat, frozen smile, blushing and profuse sweating, neck aches, preoccupation with illness, fear of embarrassment or rejection, worrying over details, fear of being ugly or fat, or nightmares?
