Sarasvati's Dream offers a journey through a multi-textured dream filled with rich atmospheric tones and nuances, intended for stress reduction, deep meditative healing, and induction of a state of inner peace.

“Sound has also been shown to be a vital part of the healing process for cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy and side effects especially for pain relief management,””Diane explains. “During our waking state, the normal frequency of our brain waves is that of beta. Sound tools entrain the brain to move into the deeper alpha and theta brain wave frequencies.”

I thought at first that the CD was blank; either the lead-in is extraordinarily long or the tones at the outset were too soft for me to hear. If you have this experience, be patient. It's worth the wait. And you might try turning up the volume a bit.

The tempo starts out slow, with well-spaced tones of the Tibetan bowls, gradually incorporating gongs, didgeridoo, and other sacred instruments. It then builds to an energizing crescendo that gives way to gorgeous vocals, bringing the listener to a deep level of inner peace and relaxation and soothing the soul all the way to the conclusion. Soaking up the restful energy induced by the tones, I wanted it to last longer than it did. No matter; I just lay there and enjoyed.

I recommend Sarasvati's Dream to anyone who could use more tranquility and balance in their life. And who couldn't?

A San Diego resident, Diane takes an integrative approach to healing. Her private sessions include not only sound, but also Polarity therapy, visualization and life coaching. She can be contacted by phone or at her web site.

Collector's Series: Two Rare Recorded Yogananda Talks:
Removing All Sorrow and Suffering and Awake in the Cosmic Dream

Self-Realization Fellowship (SRF) is pleased to announce two new CD recordings featuring the voice of Paramahansa Yogananda.

Yogananda's natural vocal modulation on these CDs is clear and soothing and his metaphors and examples are easy to relate to. It is easy to see why so many were attracted to this powerful teacher while he was in the body, for his discourses, drawing as he did on both Western and Eastern traditions, bridged the cultural gap that might have otherwise kept American seekers at bay.

Removing All Sorrow and Suffering is the ninth in SRF's Collector's Series of rare recorded talks by Paramahansa Yogananda. In this digitally re-mastered archival recording, Yogananda speaks about how to permanently conquer all suffering by applying the precepts for happy living (in harmony with divine laws), and by practicing the ancient scientific techniques of yoga meditation for realizing oneness with Spirit. The talk was recorded at the Hollywood Temple of Self-Realization Fellowship on New Year's Day, 1950.

Awake in the Cosmic Dream , the second in SRF's Collector Series and originally released as an audiocassette, provides listeners with an overview of spiritual living, illustrated with personal stories and practical guidance.  With endearing humor and compassionate understanding, the great Guru conveys why God is the only permanent solution to the enduring problems of human existence.

This talk was recorded in 1952 at the Self-Realization Fellowship headquarters in Los Angeles, on the occasion of Paramahansaji's birthday (January 5)—just two months before his passing.
