Free Spirituality Classes Start
Beginning in January, VISION, A Center for Spiritual Living, will be offering all of its Self-Help and Life Enrichment Classes without any fees. VISION is committed to helping people, “Transform Their Lives Through Practical Spiritually” and will not allow present economic challenges prevent someone from attending a class that could be invaluable for them. All classes will be on a Love Offering basis only. Classes such as Financial Freedom will begin in January. Dr. Sharron Stroud to Receive Human Rights Award in Palm Springs
InnerFaith Community's Dr. Sharron Stroud is receiving the “Promoting Universal Human Rights Close to Home” Award from the City of Palm Springs Human Rights Commission. The award is given to local citizens who have worked notably to foster equality, ensure rights or have fought against hate crimes or any kind of ethnic, religious, sexual or other types of discrimination. The award ceremony will be held on January 12, 2009 at 3pm in the Main Chamber of City Hall, 3200 East Tahquitz Canyon Way, Palm Springs, CA. The entire InnerFaith Community and friends are invited to attend this wonderful momentous occasion where there will be standing room only. Sharron Stroud is a woman dedicated to healing the planet. The slogan “Think Globally And Act Locally” would describe what she has been about for the past 33 years. She is an author, professional speaker, and a spiritual leader. She has served the New Thought movement for 33 years as a spiritual leader. Dr. Stroud has served as the Spiritual Leader of Innerfaith Ministries Worldwide in Palm Springs, CA. since 2001.

Armed Forces Use Acupuncture
The United States military has recently incorporated Acupuncture into their medical services. This marks a milestone for Oriental medicine's increasing popularity and accessibility. Elephant Dung Recycler Wins Co-op America's Business Award
A Brooklyn, NY company, Mr. Ellie Pooh—which sells 100 percent handmade journals, stationery, office supplies and various grades of paper made from 75% Sri Lankan elephant dung—is Co-op America's 2008 Green Business Leader Award winner.
