Is Hay the Answer to the BP Oil Spill?
Two Mississippians who work for C.W. Roberts, a big contractor in Walton County, Florida, may have found an ingenious, low-tech solution for the dreadful devastation of the most recent oil disaster—the absorptive properties of common hay. TLC readers may be interested in checking it out on You Tube at www.youtube.com/watch?v=k5SxX2EntEo and www.youtube.com/watch#!v=6b3N9NHQPzY&feature=related. According to OilHay.com there is the ability to supply the hay that would be needed—and it was used in the Santa Barbara spill years ago. See the OilHay video at www.youtube.com/watch?v=DLeKIXQXjzo
3rd Annual Wine, Cheese & Chocolate
Festival June 4 in Balboa Park
The San Diego Women’s History Museum and Educational Center will present its 3rd Annual Wine, Cheese & Chocolate Festival on June 4th from 6:30 to 10pm in Balboa Park’s Spanish Village. The Festival is held to promote and support the on-going activities at the museum located at 2323 Broadway in service to the San Diego community, which include cultural and educational exhibits and programs related to documenting and preserving the contributions and experiences of San Diego women.
Dozens of well-known chocolatiers and wine and cheese vendors will participate by offering samples of their wares for tasting and enjoying; Sue Palmer, San Diego’s Queen of Boogie Woogie, will entertain. In addition, 500 commemorative wine glasses provided by Prudential California Realty will be given away to the first 500 attendees at the event, which has proved to be so popular that it has outgrown its old venue elsewhere in the park.
Tickets for this year’s festival can be purchased on line at www.WomensMuseumSD.org. Advance Tickets are $30. Groups of ten or more, $20 each. $50 VIP tickets include reserved seating and drink vouchers. Evolving Tools for Healing Mind, Body
and Spirit Conference June 4–6
An estimated 500 therapists from over 12 countries and 4 continents will be attending, the “Evolving Tools for Healing Mind, Body and Spirit” Conference from June 4–6 at the Loews Coronado Hotel. EP techniques can improve high level functioning in sports and business, while producing startling, permanent relief of the emotional charge associated with trauma and negative events
A 1-day post conference seminar on Energy Medicine with Donna Eden and David Feinstein, and a two-day post conference Seminar on The Bengston Energy Healing Method follow. Visit the website www.energypsych.org, or phone (619) 861-2237.
