Have you noticed you are running out of time, that you have more to do and much less time to do it? Does it seem as though you just got out of bed and now you are climbing back into bed? Although there are still 24 hours on the clock, is your experience telling you something very different?

Additionally, have you noticed you are losing you memory? You can't find words to complete sentences or find the word for the spoon you have in your hand? No, it's not Alzheimer's and you are not alone in this experience. Age, gender and culture have nothing to do with it

Transformational Talk
Finding the Understandable Part

In the midst of a spat, do you ever get caught in the trap of in thinking you're better, more rational and mature than your partner? Of course you do, you're a human being! Your thinking makes perfect sense to you. Furthermore, you can see how problematic and dysfunctional he/she is ever so clearly. The problem is research shows this kind of arrogance leads to breakups far more often than deep divides over issues.

TURNING PRAYER INTO ACTION:
Indigenous Grandmothers Meet the Bioneers:
a Link TV Special

Grandmothers and Ambassadors in Dharamsala

“A time of convergence,” is one of the phrases that enters my mind in describing Turning Prayer Into Action (TPIA), a heartfelt program that connects us to the experience of the dialogue via live satellite “spacebridge” between the wisdom of the International Council of 13 Indigenous Grandmothers from their conference in Dharamsala, India, and the Bioneers Conference in Marin, California. The Grandmothers, indigenous holy women and healers from North, South and Central America, Asia and Africa, together hold the vision of uniting the Earth's Peoples in a global alliance dedicated to peace, the healing of the Earth and the preservation of indigenous ways. (Visit www.grandmotherscouncil.com for complete biographical info and background.)

Narrated by Jane Fonda, TPIA fuses ancient insight with modern needs, contemporary dance with indigenous prayers, visionary speakers with shamans, and the hope of youth with the experience of elders. The Bioneers joining the program are founders Kenny Ausubel and Nina Simons, writer and entrepreneur Paul Hawken, Rachel Naomi Remen, MD, Destiny Arts Performers and others. This one-hour program premieres March 17 on LINK TV, repeating on March 24, and airs on local cable in Los Angeles-LA36 (channel 36) March 24 at 7 p.m. TPIA is also streamed and viewable in its entirety at www.linktv.org/programs/turning.

The Intention Experiment
Using Your Thoughts to Change Your Life and the World

What if the possibility exists that a single collective directed thought could be all it takes to change the world? Last month in Part One of our interview with Lynne McTaggart, an investigative journalist and award-winning author, of The Field and The Intention Experiment (TIE), we discussed TIE's revolutionary exploration of the science of intention via cutting-edge research, how consciousness affects physical matter, quantum physics and the nature of reality, the definition of intention, it's effects on plants/environment, and how to become more effective transmitters of intention in our own personal lives and collectively.

Group experiments started in 2007, involving thousands of people around the world sending intention to targets under strictly scientifically controlled conditions led by McTaggart's scientific team, which includes some of the leading investigators into consciousness research. These have produced significant evidence and intriguing possibilities about the power of our thoughts, individually and joined as ‘group mind', to change physical reality.

Over 40 dynamic leaders in the consciousness community endorse and support the importance of this work. As readers of TIE, we're invited to join what is being called the largest mind-over-matter studies in history, as we contribute to the ongoing research via the book's website and create an open-ended sequel to TIE; a “living book” with philanthropic aims. March 29, 2008 is the next scheduled mass experiment. Learn more in our interview and register at www.theintentionexperiment.com.

May these interviews serve to inspire your personal and co-creative evolution, and engage you in what Lynne so coherently shares, that “…the power of mass intention may ultimately be the force that shifts the tide toward repair and renewal of the planet.” Please see the complete and extended versions of these interviews online at www.lightconnection.us.

H.R. 5351
2008 Renewable Energy Act Tries One More Time

For everyone concerned about the growth of Solar and other forms of Renewable Energy in this country, there's good news, and there's bad news

As this edition of The Light Connection is on its way to press, the Congress will be debating and voting on HR5351, the Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation Tax Act of 2008. We'll spell out some of its benefits in more detail in a moment, but in brief, it would restore much of what was dropped from the Energy Bill defeated at the end of last year, not to mention the green sections cut from this year's economic stimulus package. Moreover, crucially, it would extend solar tax credits due to expire in December of 2008. That's the good news.

Discovering Qigong

Flip through the brochure from your local recreation center, and you're likely to find qigong classes listed. Check out the offerings at an expensive spa, and there it is again—the word with the “qi” in it without a “u” after the q .

But what is qigong? What does it do for you? How do you choose which type of qigong to learn?

Qigong is a holistic system that encompasses training for the body, mind, and spirit, although most types of qigong currently taught in North America focus solely on the body. It is an ancient discipline: Archeological evidence shows that it was practiced as early as the Neolithic period in China. Over the centuries, it has been modified and refined to suit changing times and knowledge.
