Doreen Virtue's goddess deck honors and celebrates the powers and attributes of the goddess within each of us. The Light Connection staff loves this card deck! Of course, we're mostly women, but I must point out, lest you forget, that the goddess energy is not gender-specific. It is alive and well deep within all souls, waiting to be tapped into. And so these gorgeous goddesses come with wisdom appropriate to both men and women. If you came in a male body this lifetime, you may nonetheless find good guidance here.
Still, the cards feel to me like a lovely gift for a woman, one whose divine feminine essence you wish to honor. And with Mother's Day coming this month, that's got to be a good thing. If you give them to your mother, she will enjoy them. If you're a mother, Happy Mother's Day!

And it does so in a charming way, allowing the child in us to revel stories, which are newly translated in hopes of conveying some of the wit and meaning absent in the translations we read as children.
I found the presentation stimulating to my adult mind as well, offering opportunities for useful reflection.
