Concert Series Kicks Off with The Electrocarpathians on May 17
One of California's best-known bands, The Electrocarpathians, returns to the concert scene to inaugurate VISION'S Concert Series on May 17 at 7pm. Their music is the sound of culture, the beat of history, connected by the enjoyment of multi-ethnic entertainment. You can experience the haunting rhythms and provocative melodies of Eastern European music mixed with Gypsy Passion and Latin Libido. This group of dedicated and talented musicians plays the folk music of many countries on their native instruments. Meet Big Cats at the “Wild in the Country 2008” Event in SD 5/17
This second annual event is a Benefit for Lions, Tigers & Bears, the only exotic Big Cat rescue facility in San Diego, the event will be held Saturday, May 17, 1-5pm.

Spring Art in the Garden & Farmer - Veteran Coalition Fundraiser 5/24
Saturday, May 24 the City Farmers Nursery will celebrate Spring with its fourth annual Art in the Garden event, displaying the work of local artisans throughout the beautiful plants and animals of the sprawling nursery.
