Healing for Women Workshop 5/9
Faye McGrew, MA, medical Qigong expert and Valencia Porter, MA are holding a Natural and Energetic Healing Workshop for women on Sat, May 9. It will be held at the Chopra Center for Wellbeing in the La Costa resort from 12pm-3:30pm.
Dr. Porter, Director of Women's Health at the Chopra Center will present an integrative wellness prescription specifically for women including mind body therapies, nutrition, supplements, and exercise.
Fay McGrew, Medical Qigong teacher, will present Yin Qigong at the workshop. This is an evidence based mind-body practice unique for women addressing health concerns. See www.yinqigong.com. Sergio Bambaren Tours SoCal in May

Tibetan Cultural Spring Festival & Fundraiser 5/16

Creating Extraordinary Relationships Workshop 5/16
A relationship built on a foundation of love, trust, open expression, effective communications and appreciation is what we most desire. Yet sometimes our relationships are missing key elements - passion or trust - or have qualities that we really don't want– tension, guilt, etc. The good news is that the tools to create more loving relationships have never been more available or effective. Creating Extraordinary Relationships is a workshop for singles and couples to learn this knowledge and to gain tools to use to create the relationship they desire. Participants will assess their relationships, past and present, and will learn the Seven Keys to more loving relationships.
This interactive, playful workshop will be Saturday, May 16 from 9 am. to 4 pm at the Encinitas Community Center. Future of Healthcare Lecture 5/19
Charles Knoll, MD and Mishlyn Verdon, Certified Hypnotherapist and Transpersonal Practitioner, will speak Tuesday, May 19 from 2:30 to 5:00 PM at the World Healer Training Event to be held the week of May 18-24 at the Handlery Hotel in Mission Valley. Dr. Joseph Costa, CEO of the World Healer Institute, will join them as Dr. Knoll and Ms. Verdon discuss the changes in physical health in our current world and why new illnesses are challenging medical science.
Introducing the new Transpersonal Practitioner as part of the medical team in every doctor's office, the lecture will show how the Transpersonal Practitioner will help the patient see any illness in the context of the patient's physical and spiritual life, answering the big questions “Why me, why my body and why now?” Thus, patients can learn the psychic root cause of their illnesses, ascertain what the learning opportunity is with any health issue, and undergo healing from psychic guides. Doctors will enlist the help of the Transpersonal Practitioner to augment their practices, know more about what to expect in the care of their patients, and understand how best to help each patient at more than just the physical level.
Admission to the Future of Healthcare Lecture only is $35. The week-long event will focus on other related matters: Thought and Thinking, Male and Female energies and the “New Karma” as it relates to monetary issues.

Recession Help Expo in SD - 5/30
The Recession Help Expo is a national multi-city campaign to connect people who have been affected by the recession with the aid, information, help and assistance they need.
The Recession Help Expo is presented by Bart Allen Berry, founder of HereToHelp.US the National Recession Survival Resources Web Portal. Berry is an organizational consultant and change expert and author of How We Will Endure - Values, Strategies, and Leadership in The New Recession.
The Recession Help Expo is an all day free event built for attendance by up as many as five thousand attendees. The Expo tracks with the growing need for answers and help in America as the current deepening financial crisis continues.
The Recession Help Expo will be in San Diego on May 30 and in Los Angeles on June 27.

Spiritual Eco-Folk Concert 5/31
One Heart One Mind for Spiritual Living is hosting a spiritual Eco-Folk Concert featuring Dada Nabhaniilananda who is a yoga monk musician. Dada plays melodic folk rock in the style of Simon & Garfunkel, Jai Uttal or Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young. He sings about spiritual experiences and ecological or human rights issues, and derives many of his ideas from myths and legends of different cultures. In performance he uses an imaginative blend of music, multimedia, humor, chanting and meditation to create a memorable and uplifting experience. He has worked with some outstanding musicians including Daevid Allen of Gong and Soft Machine, Harry Williamson who worked with Sting and Genesis member Anthony Phillips, Paul Winter, and Premik Tubbs of the Mahavishnu Orchestra.
