Yes on Proposition 87 Funds Clean Energy Alternatives
Will California Help You Buy Your New Plug-in Hybrid?

As November 7 approaches, opposition hopes of unseating the Republican majority in Congress are being fueled by continuing revelations of scandal and cover-up in Washington, bad news from Baghdad and deep discontent with the Bush administration. Fuel of another sort is at issue here in California. Proposition 87, called the Clean Alternative Energy Act, would retool an existing state agency for the research and development of alternative energy sources and provide it with four billion dollars in funds to be collected from oil companies—in effect, asking the corporations whose huge profits from fossil fuels have reached record highs over the past eighteen months to fund the search for better, cleaner ways to power modern society.

Mirabai’s Mission

How does a white woman born in South Africa become an international spiritual teacher, conduit for healing, author and mentor for thousands of people around the world?

“My first experience of awakening happened when I was“around the age of three” says Mirabai Devi.

“ I used to see the masters of Divine Light around my bed. There were 7-12 of them, and they included Krishna, Babaji, Paramahansa Yogananda, Jesus Christ, Mother Mary and Shirdi Baba. I felt they were my family, there to guide and protect me.”

Thom Hartmann on the Spiritual Roots of our Government

Other than voting, how are you suggesting people participate in the political process?

There are thousands of empty poll-worker slots around the United States. Back in the 1950s and '60s when, for most of the American middle-class, a single paycheck could sustain a single family.

From The Four Insights
The Way of the Earthkeepers
.

For millennia, secret societies of Native American medicine men and women carefully guarded their wisdom teachings and acted as stewards of nature. These “Earthkeepers” existed in many nations and were called several different names; for example, in the Andes and the Amazon they were known as the “Laika.”

In 1950, a group of Laika from high in the Andes traveled to an annual gathering of shamans that occurred at the foot of one of the holy mountains.

Imagine a Parade for World Peace led by Gandhi…

Imagination to reality was scheduled for October 26, 2006 when Arun Gandhi, grandson of Mahatma Gandhi, would take historic steps as he led from Hollywood and Vine in the premiere of what has blossomed into a series of Peace Parades in a year-long global peace movement. Born from a conversation between KTLA's "Harrison on the Edge" (AM 1150) and Gandhi, plus Harrison's call to action for “One Human Family”, this event unintentionally occurs during the 100 th Anniversary year of Mahatma Gandhi's Satyagraha Movement.

Local, national and international interest, support, synchronicity and momentum began to flow immediately after the announcement of the Parade. The Unity Foundation, The United Nations Associations in both Southern and Northern California, and The "Art Miles Mural Project" also played integral parts in the efforts of this event.
