Sri Ram Kaa and Kira Raa
Talk about 2012
and Ascension
By The Light Connection interview by Steve Hays
Best selling authors, columnists, radio personalities, Master Avesa Quantum Healers, and sought after keynote speaker, Wisdom Teacher Sri Ram Kaa and Angelic Oracle Kira Raa are recognized for lovingly “walking the walk” of authenticity. On the cutting edge of the Soul Evolution, they are authorities on 2012, Archangelic communications, Self-Ascension and Atlantis. Their Synergistic Symposium: A Celebration of Consciousness, Arts and Music is in Los Angeles March 13-15. See end of article for more. |
Steve Hays: Can you define Self-Ascension and tell us how is that different from ascension?
Sri Ram Kaa: Self-Ascension is really recognizing that all of us live in a free will zone. You know, we are here as spiritual powerhouses having a human experience. Many people think of ascension as something that happens to you after the death of the body or that you're going to get zapped in some way. What we have learned is that it is a choice. We must consciously choose to unhook from the ego or personality self and let our ascended heart lead us to the wisdom of what some people call the higher self, which is really the true self.
Kira Raa: Self-Ascension is the essence of knowing without any doubt that you are an infinite being, having an extraordinary experience and that you can discover this gift while you still have a body.
Sri Ram Kaa: Our books include practices that are inspired from the archangelic realms and the communion that has developed for Kira and I, directly with Archangel Zadkiel and some of the other ascended teachers of light. We outline this in our book Sacred Union: The Journey Home , because neither of us really expected to be in this role for humanity at this time. It just kind of happened that when we got together and met each other in the flesh, there was this huge explosion of energy and a recognition that this is what we took birth for. This is why we're here as souls. And, of course, our personality selves—the piece that had a little history that said, “Hey, wait a minute. I thought I was going to be a doctor, you know. I had other ideas for this lifetime,”—ran kicking and screaming when the soul came forward and said, “No. This is what you're here to do.”
How long have you been doing your work?
Kira Raa: We have been together since the very end of 2002. It's really been quite extraordinary, because over this past few years, we have published four books, founded a healing school, and established an amazing group of beings worldwide that is actively creating miracles every day using all the processes of Self-Ascension.
One of the gifts was that I died of cancer in 1989. And, when I died of cancer, one of the gifts that came to me through my near death experience was the recognition that we are really on this planet by choice. When we keep saying yes to that choice, miracles occur so fast that the brain can't keep up with them. And, so we've learned through experience to let go of the mind ever more and let our heart lead, which is also a big piece of the essence of Self-Ascension.
Can you tell me more about that? You died of cancer?
Kira Raa: Yes—in 1989. Let me give a little background. I was born a very clairvoyant child, but my family was very freaked out by that. Being afraid that my family would be upset with me, I shut down all that and became very much your typical American and went to school and then graduated from college and got in the business world, and literally, I mean literally, worked myself to death. I was a stereotypical A personality.
Sri Ram Kaa: Type A all the way.
Kira Raa: Very – I mean A plus. And, I'll never forget: It was Christmas Eve day 1989. I came home from a business trip and passed out. Woke up in a hospital to a doctor telling me that not only did I have cancer, I was dying of it. If I didn't have surgery right away, I would not even live another few months. Subsequently I had the surgery and died on the operating table.
And, the gift of that near death experience was that not only did it fully reawaken everything I had as a child, only in so much stronger form, but it set me back on a journey of divine remembrance by choice, because the person that went into that hospital was not the person that came out. It really was a beautiful practice for the life that I live now. Of course I went through ten years of accepting it. You know, I didn't walk out of that near death experience and say, “Aha.” The ego overlay was so strong, it tried to hold onto what I had been doing prior. It literally took ten years of allowing all that energy to come in to fully manifest in form now. It was a profound experience.
Sri Ram Kaa: When you consider the profundity of dying and coming back, it was a bit like that when Kira and I first met each other in person. We actually met on the Internet. I was doing a spiritual singles thing, looking for my soul mate, you know, as so many people are. We met together face-to-face in Sedona, thinking that would be the spiritual Mecca to have this relationship come into fullness and we were walking around Boynton Canyon in a trance.
The two of us were feeling so much energy and so much power around our reconnection that we didn't even understand. Suddenly, Kira slumped to the ground and almost slipped down the canyon wall! And I'm holding her when suddenly her body goes stiff and sits up straight. Her eyes open wide and this completely different voice looks at me and says, “Hello Sri Ram Kaa. We're so glad you found each other.” And, you know, my prior experience was as a psychotherapist and when I saw this complete personality and energy –
Kira Raa: He's like, “Oh, my God. I'm with a freak.”
Sri Ram Kaa : Immediately my mind was racing to the diagnosis book. What has happened here?
Kira Raa: Is this a schizophrenic? I mean, oh my gosh.
Sri Ram Kaa: And, so it was a shocking thing just like that death experience. Only what happened after I got over my shock, this being began speaking and her eyes didn't blink. The radiation of love was so powerful that my heart just melted. I was staring into the eyes of a radiant being of light, who said to me, “We have waited a long time for the two of you to find each other,” and began to share that if we chose our shared mission, this is what it might look like.
Well, I literally fell to my knees in tears, because my heart had never experienced such love. And when Kira—when this being we later learned was Archangel Zadkiel, then stepped out of Kira's body—she came to. And, she looked at me and there were tears running down my cheeks and she said,—“What happened? Did I faint?” And, that's how our journey began. Since that time, we have had countless archangelic ensoulments. And, the word ensoulment is to differentiate this from channeling. Kira's near death experience taught her how to leave her body completely.
Kira Raa: What I didn't realize was that I was literally being trained for this mission from my near death experience.
Sri Ram Kaa: Yeah, and so, what has happened, this body of work we brought forth and our passion for bringing more love and light into the world at this time, is she leaves her body. I subsequently learned that we're of the same soul. We're what some people would call twin flames. I'm able to hold her soul in my space to keep it from moving forward. And this angel can speak through her so she's gone completely. There's no ego filter involved. The messages that come through are so pure that sometimes people in the audience actually have a sunburn from the radiance. It's just such a beautiful gift of love and divine wisdom. And, then when her body's getting a little tired of holding that frequency, the angels step out and I help revive her, help her soul step back into her body.
And, so this process of ensoulment has become our mission, in a way, to help hold open a portal of divine guidance in a time when the world is really shaking and quaking and in transition. Our world is needing pure direction, for people to remember their own heart connection to the Divine, for people to remember that you came here by choice and you can live an empowered life, not a reactive life, and that's really the thesis.
Tell us about 2012.
Kira Raa: Our most recent book 2012: Atlantean Revelations opens up with a vision that I had when I was five years old. I saw our world destroyed. I remember being completely terrified, actually paralyzed with fear. I was trying to call for my mother and I couldn't because of this fear of what I was seeing and not really understanding. But to this day I remember what happened as the vision was fading. I remember calling out and saying, “Oh, my God! I've made a terrible mistake. I can't be here.” And the single most beautiful voice I've ever heard wrapped itself around me and said,'“You will not be here and this is but one choice for your world. And, the year is 2012.”
It took me a long time to figure out what that was about. But, in 1989, the me who experienced that vision left. So the first part of that promise was kept. It really catalyzed within me the fact that we are at an extraordinary moment in our collective history as humanity, where we must get very clear on what we want for our world. And, so the collective power of committed, positive recognition will help really transcend us through what could be our darkest hour.
You know, if you look at all of the prophecies that are out there, you look at Nostradamus, the Hopi Prophecy, the Mayan Calendar. Most people, as Sri and I travel the world speaking about this, have a very jaded view about 2012 because these prophecies predict some pretty horrific things.
But the reality is: What if the purpose of prophecy was to help you remember that you are such a powerful co-creator that you can create the prophecy, that you do not have to empower a stream of consciousness, thereby making that reality?
Sri Ram Kaa: You know, one of the things about negative imagery or people saying, “A noted authority, Nostradamus or whoever, says there's going to be this World War III, et cetera.” If you let that in and swallow it, you're empowering it. You know, our power as conscious beings is much greater than we realize. What people forget is wherever you put your attention, you're granting that object life and power. If you're looking at the doom and gloom that's on CNN, if you're looking at it with fear at the global picture, you're empowering those scenarios, versus holding – I mean, consciously choosing, to hold an image that the world is transitioning into a better harmony, into a higher, more peaceful state and practicing holding that. Then, the wave of energy we send out into the collective field is one of harmony and balance. And, as a species–– as humanity as a mass, we can totally shift our direction by holding that energy of peace and joy.
You've been in touch with the Mayan elders?
Kira Raa: Yes. Sri and I were called to Guatemala last December for the first time. We've subsequently been there four times. You know, the Mayan calendar is coming to an end. And, yet you have all these people who are not Mayan running around the world talking about what that means. So, we're very honored that we're actually sitting with the Mayans.
These elders are ecstatic that this time in history is here. They are delighted that this calendar is coming to its natural cycle, because the new cycle is being born.
Sri and I have been taken to ancient secret temples that have not ever been seen by white people, high up in the highlands of Guatemala, working with priests, going through three translators, because they only speak their native tongue. Then we have to go to Spanish, then English. What we're learning is that they see this as the resurrection of the People of Light. That, at this moment, in our collective history, what many are referring to as the end of their calendar, they see as the beginning of a resurrection of light energy. Now, whenever we have new structures coming forward, it's natural that the old structures are going to do their best to preserve themselves. And, that's what we see going on with the chaos on our planet right now.
In conjunction with the Mayan elders and the archangelic realm, we were given a date: March 13, 2009. Ironically, it also turns out to be Friday the 13 th , which I love. Talk about blowing people's paradigms up, right? We were very clearly instructed that that date would set in motion a collective wave that could actually shift the way that we're going into a much greater, expansive co-creator process and that as many people who could gather as possible, could literally start that wave. And, that's how we came forward with the 2012 Quantum Leap event, beginning on Friday the 13 th , in March 2009. We're even bringing the Mayan elders up from Guatemala.
Sri Ram Kaa: What's happening that March 13-15 weekend, in the LA area is what we're calling a' Synergistic Symposium, a Celebration of Consciousness, Arts, and Music . Over those two and a half days, we have a number of presenters and musicians including Ed Begley Jr., George Noory, Tulku Rinpoche and Rassouli. They'll be weaving together really the cutting edge of co-creation.We're helping orchestrate a weekend of joyful, divine trust, where we can witness the spirit of human creativity coming forward. We have some technology pieces, some spiritual cinema, some amazing musicians and workshops, everything from crystal healing to sound and light and film.
Kira Raa: And, what's important to know is that this is not an expo, this is not a conference. This is something that has not yet been done. This is an opportunity where everyone will co-create an environment of divine experience where it's not competing energies of,'“Go to this workshop or go to that workshop,” or,”“This little room has that going on,” or,”“You have to go buy this or buy that.” This is an opportunity to really come together and not just talk about but to really step into this energy in a safe created container, whereby each being will anchor such a strong presence that they will be able to go back to their communities and their very presence will free others to do the same.
One of the greatest teachings in Self-Ascension is that when we truly keep our eyes on the Divine at all times, our presence frees others to do the same and no words will ever be needed. That's a big difference between this symposium and most conferences. We're not getting together to talk about problems and react toward problems. We are creating a passionate action to empower our world into this beautiful synergy. And, so it really is the next level of coming together.
Sri Ram Kaa: One of the things that people need to be reminded of is that it's your energy, you're vibratory level that affects our mass consciousness and our collective experience. When we are in fear, when we are in doubt about our own abilities, when we're chasing the paycheck and worried and anxiety, we're not really conscious of the bigger picture. We're in our personal picture. And, the activism energy in our planet would call us forward and say, “Oh, let's look at the situation at this country, or the plight of these individuals.” And, that's a heart-centered thing. That's lovely.
What we're looking to do is to help empower people to start resonating the peace and the joy as if everything were already harmonious. You know, Einstein said that you cannot solve a problem at the same level of consciousness that created the problem. And, that's true. So, how do we encourage people to hold a more positive frequency, to be in love, not fear without having to prove it.
What this event is about is that every human being has that inside. We have the inspiration. We have the divine connection. What we need is a co-creative synergy, the space that will say, “I can unleash this from my own heart.” We're looking at the celebration of that human spirit at this event. So, that we're not just talking heads and giving people information. We're actually hoping to evoke the energy that will be the new paradigm.
Steve Hays: It sounds like an incredible event. In the meantime, what are some practices that people can do to make living in these seemingly very chaotic times right now easier? What do you suggest people do now?
Kira Raa: The first thing I would share is that all of our books have amazing, simple practices; there are so many of them scattered between our first three books.
However, I want to offer to you a practice that I have offered to thousands of people. It's amazingly simple and you'd be stunned at how well it works. And, it's very simply, “the sticky notes practice.” You go and buy a pack of sticky notes. I mean, you know, a cute little pack of sticky notes.
And, then on every single one—you have to really commit to doing that—on every single one, you write three words. The words are “Thank you, breathe.” You write that on every single one. And, then you hide them in amazingly creative places. You might want put one on the inside of your cereal box lid or inside your kitchen cabinet or on a dollar bill in your wallet, or stuck on the switch that you turn your laptop on with. But, you hide them everywhere and you have to find a place for all of them.
And, then the next step is, every time you see one, you bring your hands to your heart. You take a very deep, spacious breath. And, you simply say, “Thank you.” The key here is that this process disengages the habit of being addicted to chaos and drama. Because whether we like to admit it or not, we live in a world that has done its best to addict us to that through the way we watch TV. Through what we choose to read, through our conversations with our friends, through well-intentioned activisms, we become addicted to drama.
By bringing your hand to your heart, taking a deep breath with your hand on your heart, because it truly does send a signal, and saying, “Thank you,” even if you have no idea why, you are literally re-patterning your body to accept a more blissful energy and I can share with you from the thousands of people that have done this. If you really commit to doing this and you really do this process for a month, you will have a different life in front of you.
Sri Ram Kaa: You know, we don't have to believe in anything. We just need to remember that joy is our choice. And, as we interrupt the habit of being less than and bring in the habit of spacious, commanding the joy, thank you, be in gratitude, we'll attract to us all kinds of positive experiences.
You know, when we come together and get stimulated to remember that we are divine energy having a human experience and to really get it, to feel it, to feel that beautiful inspired place inside. When we walk home into our lives, we will then be stimulating that energy in others. They can't help but notice that you've got a new bounce in your step.
