Louise Hay Kicks Off “Forever Ageless” Conference 9/14-16
The “Forever Ageless for Men and Women” conference in San Diego Sept 14-16 will bring together seven experts in the field of anti-aging medicine and emotional release. This event will address how the power of medical intuition, bio-identical hormone balancing, blood sugar balancing and emotional release can keep you feeling vibrant and youthful forever.
Friday evening, Sept 14, will include a special guest appearance by Louise Hay, bestselling author of ”You Can Heal Your Life.”
Caroline Sutherland, internationally known medical intuitive and author of The Body Knows , will start Saturday's action-packed seminar with individualized, medical intuitive readings for each attendee. This unique process will be followed by confidential, in-depth health strategies for managing inflammation, weight gain, fatigue, pain, hormone issues, memory loss, aging skin, stamina and vitality.
Sunday will feature four different experts, starting with Larry Frieders, compounding pharmacist, Certified Menopause Educator, and authority on the subject of bio-identical hormones (BHRT) for both men as well as women. He will address the most important future piece of the anti-aging puzzle – hormone balancing. The afternoon will include Dr. Joe Filbeck , Director of the Palm La Jolla Medical Spa in San Diego and avid proponent of anti-aging medicine who will present Anti-Aging Strategies For Men. West Coast US Tour 2007 -Thich Nhat Hanh Events in September
Thich Nhat Hanh, nominated by M.L. King, Jr. for the Nobel Peace Prize, is one of the most respected Zen masters of our time. He is a poet, peace and human rights activist, and author. Hanh lives and encourages a life of Mindfulness - the practice of being fully present within moment-to-moment experience with acceptance. He will be presenting at a variety of events in Southern California during September and October.
Retreats lead by Hanh, the nuns and monks at Deer Park Monastery, Escondido from 9/6-9/23 will include: We are Life without Boundaries (for people of color), The Art of Living Together with Harmony and Love (in Vietnamese) and Awakening Together to Restore Our Future (in English). During these retreats there will be programs for children (6-12) and for teens (13-17).
On 9/29 Hanh will lead Peace Day in MacArthur Park, Los Angeles. The day will start at 9:30am with a peace walk entitled ‘Peace is Every Step'' - the walk is free and open to the public. Akiane Art & Poetry in Encinitas
Akiane (Ah-key-ah-nah) Kramarik may appear to be like any other carefree 13-year-old, but her mind is filled with visions of God, angels, and Heaven – the constant inspiration for her work. Concert for a United World at SRF
This free event, open to the public from 1–6pm, features a 50-person orchestra and 45-person chorus, many of whose members hail from the San Diego Symphony Orchestra and Los Angeles Philharmonic. Performances by Robby Martinez -conductor, opera singer Jennifer Jones, Alan Paul (Manhattan Transfer), and soloist Ken Bell.
Tours of the tranquil gardens, meditation chapel, and hermitage (where Paramahansa Yogananda wrote most of his Autobiography of a Yogi) will be ongoing throughout the day. Screenings of Glimpses of a Life Divine, a 30-minute film featuring reminiscences of people who knew Yogananda, and Huell Howser's PBS Road Trip tour of this Encinitas landmark will also be shown.

Second Annual Walk for Peace
Kids for Peace, a local group of kids ages 3 to 16, co-founded by Jill McManigal, will join Americans for a Department of Peace (AFDOP) and The Peace Alliance in honor of National Peace Month. The walk and activities will be held at Redwood Circle, Balboa Park, 10am–2pm. Everyone is invited to this family-friendly event.
Performers include the International Peace Choir, transcenDANCE, The Art of Living Youth Band, Thia & the Kids for Peace Singers, and Future Shock. The performances take place after a leisurely and inspirational walk around The Prado. This is an opportunity to connect with like-minded people and expose youth to ways in which they can positively make a difference in creating a peaceful world.

The Abraham Path Initiative Meeting
Learn how the Abraham Path Initiative (API) is working to open a route of cultural and religious tourism through the heart of the Middle East. The 700-mile route will be centered on a new long-distance walking trail that follows the journey made by the prophet Abraham—the common patriarch of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam—some 4,000 years ago.
Rev. Dr. Kathy Hearn and Tom Zender, along with AGNT Director, Barbara Bernstein, and AGNT Vice-President, Rev. Wendy Craig-Purcell, will provide the program and Karl and Jeanne Anthony will provide music. The purpose of this event is to identify people who would like to create the very first Omni-Local San Diego Abraham Walk.

GreenBuilt Tour Sep 29 & 30
San Diego EarthWorks will host the 6 th Annual GreenBuilt Tour, a self-guided tour of homes and businesses from 10am–4pm that feature “green” architecture and construction that saves resources, energy, water, your health, money and our environment and the latest in sustainable building practices that are attractive, practical, and affordable. Sites on the tour will include new construction as well as rebuilds and retrofits.
Participants can choose from more than 15 tour sites to visit in San Diego County. Each Tour site features a variety of sustainable, environmentally-friendly building features. Tour participants can find out from the tour site owners and builders what they did, how they did it, and why.
Tickets are $12 through Sept. 13 and $15 after. Tickets are good for both days, for all tour sites. Ticket holder's children aged 14 and under can tour for free.
Proceeds go to San Diego EarthWorks, a non-profit organization dedicated to increasing awareness of environmental issues through the annual EarthFair in Balboa Park, their annual E.A.R.T.H. Awards, and the Rose Creek Restoration Project.

Dead Sea Scrolls Exhibit in SD Through December
This summer, the San Diego Natural History Museum opened the largest, most comprehensive exhibition of the Dead Sea Scrolls ever assembled. The exhibition—created and assembled by the Museum—includes authentic Dead Sea Scrolls, ancient illuminated manuscripts, artifacts, landscape and aerial photography, and interactive displays about science, discovery, and exploration.
The museum will soon trade the 12 Dead Sea Scrolls from Israel that are currently on exhibition for a second set of 12 scrolls. The new scrolls will be on display October 15–December 31. The three Dead Sea Scrolls from Jordan, including the Copper Scroll, will remain on exhibit. Five of the “new” scrolls have never before been exhibited. Among the highlights is a scroll that features the Ten Commandments and the oldest version of the book of Enoch that belongs to the Pseudepigrapha, a collection of texts written in the names of famous biblical characters. These books were not included in the Jewish Bible.
