Ask Yourself This! - Book Launch & Signing on 9/9
The Unity Center is celebrating the launch of Rev. Wendy Craig-Purcell's new book Ask Yourself This! – Questions to Open the Heart, Expand the Mind, and Awaken the Soul on Wed, Sept 9 at 7pm. The greater San Diego community is invited to join Unity Center friends and family in this fun evening of celebration, along with the opportunity to be one of the first people in San Diego to have a signed copy of Rev. Wendy's powerful new book.
The evening begins with a special presentation by Rev. Wendy followed by the book signing. There will be musical entertainment and light refreshments will be served at the garden patio. Admission is free. RSVP's are not required but requested for planning purposes.
Wendy Craig-Purcell is Founding and Senior Minister and CEO of The Unity Center, a 1500-member spiritual community located in San Diego, California. The Unity Center, formerly known as Church of Today, celebrated its 25-year anniversary in May 2008. Wendy is a graduate of the Unity School of Christianity, Unity Village, Missouri. Film Premiere – The Living Matrix —The Science of Healing, 9/10
In the full length film The Living Matrix -The Science of Healing leading researchers and scientist, such as Lynne McTaggert and Bruce Lipton share information that will transform your understanding of how to get well and stay well. The movie uncovers new ideas about the intricate web of factors that determine our health.
Dedicated scientists, psychologists, bioenergetic researchers and holistic practitioners share their breakthrough discoveries on the “Miracle Cures” that traditional medicine can't explain. Healing with the Whales & Dolphins 9/27 – Boat Trips 9/4 & 19

In this workshop you will explore the remembrance of Who You Really Are! Near Death Experience Conf. 10/16-17
What happens when you die? Learn about the other side from those who have been there and come back through a near-death experience.
The International Association. for Near-Death Studies (IANDS) has selected San Diego for its annual conference this Oct 16-17. The theme is Transformed in the Light: Helping Humanity with Enhanced Abilities after NDE's. It will reflect the psychic, healing, and artistic abilities many near-death survivors discover they have and the changes they make in their life's direction following a near-death experience.
Speakers include authors Charles Tart, Ph.D., internationally known transpersonal psychologist; Jeffery Mishlove, Ph.D., parapsychologist and President of the Intuition Network; PMH Atwater, LHD, near-death experiencer and researcher; and Melvin Morse, M.D., pediatrician and pioneering researcher of children's NDE's.
The conference will be held at Mission Valley Resort, 875 Hotel Circle South in San Diego from 8-5 Fri & Sat, Oct 16-17. There will also be evening events.

Documentary Film – The Cove released in Aug
The Cove is a 2009 documentary film documenting the annual killing of more than 23,000 dolphins in a cove at Taiji, Wakayama in Japan. This film exposes an atrocity of unimaginable brutality. The dolphin slaughter depicted here is committed yearly and without knowledge of the general Japanese public, even though they could be buying highly toxic mercury laden dolphin meat disguised as fish from their local supermarkets. Barred access to the site, the film crew was forced to utilize covert military tactics and equipment, including thermal heat sensors and the help of two world class free divers to accomplish their mission. Leading the crew is notable Richard O'Barry who trained Flipper for the 70's television show.
The Cove is an activist film at it's finest, exposing this well kept secret and the truth about the intimidation and governmental attempts to cover it up.
The film was directed by former National Geographic photographer Louis Psihoyos and was filmed in 2007 using underwater microphones and high definition cameras disguised as rocks. It won the US Audience Award at the Sundance Film Festival in Jan.
