Captain Milkshake Film’s 40th Anniversary 9/16

Emmy award winning producer / director, Richard Crawford, brings his unique perspective on war and love for a returning veteran in the ’60s. Celebrate the 40th anniversary of Captain Milkshake’s 1971 release, the first full length feature film dealing with controversial issues surrounding the Vietnam War. Filmed partly on location in San Diego, it includes scenes of Crystal Pier, Balboa park, Vacation Village, La Jolla Cove and Pacific Beach.

The party begins with a concert at 6pm on Friday, 9/16. Fans are encouraged to wear ’60s attire and enjoy Strawberry Alarm Clock Band, best known for their hit “Incense and Peppermint.” Among the celebrity guests will be David Stanley, step brother to Elvis Presley.
